The same line covers all of it: on the ground outside, indoors or under a structure, a deer, or an odor nobody has traced yet.
The call is quicker, because the price is settled inside it.
Check this first, it may cost you nothing
The City of Lorain Street Department lists dead animal removal among its roadway duties, and states that it does not remove dead animals that are on private property. If what you are looking at is lying in the street rather than on your lot, that is their job, not a paid one.
Once it is off the roadway — the tree lawn, the driveway, the yard, under a porch, inside a building — there is no public service to fall back on, and that is the point at which this line is useful. The full split by where the animal is lying is on the front page.
Departmental scope and phone numbers change without notice. Confirm anything that matters with the department itself.
What to have to hand
Neither the species nor the exact location has to be established by you beforehand.
- Whereabouts on the property, or which room the smell is strongest in
- Visible, or odor only
- Roughly how many days
- How the spot is reached, and anything blocking it
- Whether the property is a house, a rental, a business or vacant
This is a booking line. An independent operator covering Lorain County quotes the work and performs it; this site has no premises, no staff and no vehicles of its own.
